This past week Fall has sure hit hard here on the west coast, in a good way though! The blossoming pumpkins, colourful leaves, and subtle goosebumps - ahemmm, reminding me to dress a tad warmer - have all been friendly reminders of the seasonal change! There is also something wonderful in this time of year, about curling up by a lit fireplace with a cup or tea, good friends or a good book.
I definitely think it is good to embrace new seasons and with that choose to enjoy the journey within them! It's so easy to complain about the cold, rain or even lessening daylight, but it's even easier to enjoy your day and these changes, if you choose to. Afterall, why not celebrate earlier sunsets and more time to star gaze?
Also with the onset of this season each year, I tend to get the urge to put on a girly, pink, heart patterned apron and bake. Recently, I pulled out an old family recipe book and baked up some Finnish style cinnamon buns, in native tongue called 'Korvapuustit'.
.
I would post the recipe, but it is a family recipe ;) Plus, I'm sure a form of it is easily found on the web if you are really interested!
