SPRING STYLE MUST HAVES #1

LIP COLOUR: The weather is starting to get warmer and you are looking for a way to bring on the new season - what better way to do so then by expressing yourself through lipstick. Red has been the colour of choice for years now giving your lips a pop of colour but times have changed and we are embracing brights, darks, pastels and diamond colours. If you can get away with wearing those colours why not test it out on your lips.

The secret to finding a colour that suits your while pops at the same time is your level of comfort along with your skin tone and hair colour. And if you still are unsure try on a couple colours you would never think of and rock it.

I recently dyed my hair a dark colour and being used to having blonde hair and getting away with using fuchsia’s, reds and pinks I was taken aback as I tried on my pink lipstick and realized that I could no longer wear it. However this opened a new realm of colours I could use. I could go for the typical light and brighter colours. Now my new hair colour allowed me to take on different shades I’d felt didn’t suite me before.

With that being said and you are a lipstick wearing person they have come out with a new way to colour your lips with lip-stain. This stuff stays on your lips with 24 hours and usually fades a little throughout the day. But, you don’t need to keep reapplying and you don’t get the typical gunk in the corners of your mouth lipstick tends to do. However there is a fall-back to this lip-stain - they don’t come in bright and bold colours. Therefore making them great for everyday use.

Spring is the time to embrace the bright colour pallet and make perhaps become a little more adventurous. MAC has recently come out with their new spring line that showcases a bright pink lipstick along with a matte purple and some bright pink lipgloss.  MAC is my trusty go to for new lip colours and eye shadows but there are plenty of other places you can venture to find your spring colour.
