WALK

Walk for an hour a day.  Our bodies are designed for walking and it is one of the most natural forms of exercise.  You do not need fancy equipment or top of the line shoes.  If the weather permits, take your walk outside.  This movement is low impact and has tremendous health benefits such as, lowering low-density lipoprotein (LDL = bad cholesterol), raising high-density lipoprotein (HDL = good cholesterol), lowers blood pressure, and gives your mood a boost.  Walking also provides a means of managing weight by burning extra calories and naturally suppressing the appetite.  Have you ever seen an overweight elderly who routinely takes walks?
